in the past year i got hold of two beloved childhood digital cameras again and decided to get into the habit of taking casual photos wherever i went. i enjoy even the most mundane environments from finding beauty and stories in everything - i love taking photos of harsh man made structures (i.e pylons, smoke towers, tower block apartments) contrasted against nature, graffiti, abandoned and worn buildings, payphone booths, and trains. the common theme here is that they are all signs of life, all hold stories, and often contrast strikingly against nature or more sanitised objects around them.

approx. 2001 sony cybershot. this is my favourite, though it is slow to take photos so i don't often use it. the colours in its photos are very warm.

approx. 2009 fujifilm. it is a lot quicker to take photos which is good when i'm rushing. takes a lot more cooler toned and slightly grainy photos.
